1. Local-First Architecture (Your Data Stays on Your Machine)

FeedTamer is designed from the ground up as a client-side instrument. When you use the extension to filter, hide, or prioritize items on YouTube, all parsing, rule matching, and DOM mutations occur strictly inside your web browser.

FeedTamer does not collect, record, transmit, or sell:

Your video watch history or playback activity
Your search queries or keywords
Your channel subscriptions, playlists, or likes
Your browser identifiers, browsing history, or IP addresses

There is zero usage telemetry, zero behavioral tracking, and no external analytics script bundled inside the extension.

2. Browser Storage

Your filter settings, custom topic rules, channel filters, and preferences are stored locally using the standard Chrome Storage API (chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local). If you are signed in to your browser profile with sync enabled, your browser vendor securely synchronizes these configuration settings across your own devices according to your browser account settings.

3. Payment Processing and Purchases

Orders and payment processing for FeedTamer Pro are handled by Paddle (Paddle.com Inc. or Paddle Payments Ltd), our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a license:

Paddle securely collects and processes payment card details, billing address, and transaction metadata under its own Privacy Policy.
We receive only the necessary transaction reference, your customer email address, and the purchased product tier in order to issue and deliver your license.
We never see, collect, or store your credit card or financial account numbers.

4. Support Communications

If you contact customer support at support@thefeedtamer.com, we receive your email address and any technical details you choose to share. This communication data is used exclusively to assist you and resolve your technical inquiries.

5. Single-Purpose Compliance

FeedTamer requests only the minimum permissions required to perform its single purpose: filtering video feeds and recommendations on YouTube. It does not inspect other websites or access web traffic outside YouTube domains.
